Name: Debbie Kennedy
Nationality: South African/British
Which disciplines do you ride? Road cycling is my first love, but Tom my partner is a keen road cyclist and mountain biker and has started to encourage me to become a newbie MTB. I am sure I will enjoy it, not for the hair raising downhills, but the incredible closeness to nature and the mountains.
Favourite place to ride? The French Pyrénées where we live.
Favourite album? Music is a tough one as I enjoy a wide variety of artists and disciplines, however, currently I am keen on Michael Kiwanuka, a British soul singer-songwriter, the album Love & Hate. It's that track, 'Cold little heart' from the album that drew me in.
What's your go to post ride recovery drink/product/beverage? It has to be - Coffee. We import our coffee beans from @Cliftoncoffee Roasters in Bristol, Their E1 dark roast is the best!
What do you get up to when you're not riding bikes? Top priority when not riding is redesigning the house and landscaping the huge garden(which is on a 25 degree slope). It's a tough physical job, but extremely rewarding here in the Pyrénées. This is closely followed by photography ,hiking and the art of been a foodie with San Sebastián on our doorstep.
